Enable/Disable Folder Option from Registry

As in Kaushil's Previous post on Folder Option Missing helps you to show/hide folder option with Group Policy

This allows you to hide the Folder Options function from the folder Tools menu with the help of regedit. Allowing you to restrict access to numerous advanced folder features.

Start->Run->regedit
Hit Enter.. Open your registry and find the key below.

Go TO

HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Microsoft->Windows->
CurrentVersion->Policies-> Explorer->

Right Click AND click on New -> Create Binary Value
Name that NoFolderOptions

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value named "NoFolderOptions" and set it to equal "1" to hide the options or "0" to show the options.





User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
Value Name: NoFolderOptions

Value Data: (0 = show options, 1 = hide options)

Than ALL Done...
Just Exit From Registry.. AND your FolderOption is Now Enabled OR Disabled...

Find Invisible Friend on Gmail - Gtalk

Siddhesh described the Invisible mode in Google Talk Lab Edition in previous post.

This version is still in LAB so, till then most of the people are using Gtalk and Gmail's web interface.

Now in Web Interface You have the invisible mode, but this is not in Gtalk .

If you want to know your friend is actually online or he/she is invisible, you can do this just follow this simple steps.

1.) Start a new chat with the intended user.

2.) Set the chat to off the record so that it doesn’t get logged to the gmail account.

3.) Send a message to the user. If the user is online and invisible, the message will be delivered.

4.) If the user is offline, you will get an error message indicating that the user is offline.

But if your keyboard is not working how can you type OSK in Run ???

Introduce the link of the blocked website in the translation field (for example in Google Translator) and choose a random language to translate from because translation from English to English is not supported.




6. Use Google cache.
In the Google search field type cache: before the URL of the blocked website. For example type cache:http://www.domain.com




7. Use Internet Archive.
Internet Archive allows you to view blocked websites through the Wayback Machine. This will retrieve all pages of a specific website indifferent if the website is blocked.




8. Use Web2Mail service.
Web2Mail it is a free email service that can sent to your email address specific web pages. You sign up for an account and get set to receive specific websites by email.




9. Change the http of an URL into https
This is the  easiest way to access blocked websites. Of course, this might not work every time but you have many other solutions also. This is the fastest one.




10. Use IP address of the website instead of URL.
To use the IP address of a website instead of URL, you must first find its IP. To do this open command prompt and type: "ping domain.com".
For example : http://74.125.45.100/ will open Google English

Now, save the image in your computer by right clicking and choosing “Save Picture As”, then open it with Zipping Softwares like WinRAR, WinZip, or 7-Zip and see what I mean.


You will find some secret files in it!


You can do the same for hiding a secret file in a Picture. The Steps are:

1. Zip or Rar the file you want to hide.

2. Create a Folder and Copy the Zipped or Rar file along with a Picture File. ( Example dxcore.rar and core69.jpg)

3. Make sure that you dont have file extensions hidden by going to Tools -> Folder Options -> View and uncheck the “Hide extensions for known file types” and click OK.

4. Right Click on the empty space of the folder then New>Text Document and name it something like abc.bat. Click OK for changing file extension.

5. Right Click on the abc.bat file and click edit and type something like this:
copy /b core69.jpg + dxcore.rar final.jpg
EXIT

6. Save the file by going to File->Save and open the abc.bat file. core69.jpg and dxcore.rar will combine to form a file named final.jpg.




After opening the final.jpg file you will see a Picture of core69.jpg, but if you open it with WinRAR or 7-Zip it will show your secret file






This is the best example of the Steganography.

Find who is Invisible on Yahoo messenger

Sometimes some of your friends who appear offline in yahoo messenger may not be actually offline, they may in the 'Invisible' mode. This maybe if they are trying to ignore you or are too busy to talk to anyone.




There is this small trick that you can use to find out what the truth is.



Firstly open your yahoo messenger main window and double click on the name of the person whom you want to check. The chat window will open obviously.

Click IMVironment button, select See all IMVironments, select Yahoo! Tools or Interactive Fun, and click on Doodle.

After loading the Doodle imvironment there can be two possibilities



1.If the user is offline Doodle are will show this "waiting for your friend to load Doodle" continuously .See in the picture below:

2. If the user is online (but in invisible mode), after few seconds (it can take up to one minute, depending on your connection speed), you should get a blank page like in the picture below. So you know that the user is online.

Removing Autostart Entry from the Registry

This solution deletes/modifies a registry entry added/modified by this malware. Before performing the steps below, make sure you know how to back up the registry and how to restore it if a problem occurs. Refer to this Microsoft article for more information about modifying your computer's registry.

1. Open Registry Editor. Click Start>Run, type REGEDIT, then press Enter.

2. In the left panel, double-click the following:

3. In the right panel, locate and delete the entry:
Msn Messsenger = "%System%\regsvr.exe"

Deny Access and delete to the folder (Lock)

Follow the steps:

1) Open Folder Option

In View Tab Uncheck the Option Use Simple File Sharing

2) Right Click on the Folder which you want to Lock and Goto Properties

Now You will find the new Tab called Security

Click on Your User name and click Deny to all

3) Click Ok

4) Now Just Try to open the folder.

Great!! it will not open.

5) Last step... (Just Make it more secure)

Check the option again in Folder Option for Simple File Sharing

So that no one can see security tab...

Unlock:

1) To Unlock, Now you need to get back the Security Tab, For that You have to Uncheck the

Simple File Sharing in folder option in view tab (Same as Above First Step).

2) Right Click on the Locked Folder and Goto Properties

Go to Security tab

Click on Your User name and click Allow to all

3) Click Ok

4) Now Just Try to open the folder.

Great!! it will open.

5) Last step...

Uncheck the option again in Folder Option for Simple File Sharing

So that no one can see security tab...

i.e.Just Move it To an Another Location!!!

Create Your Own SHUTDOWN SHORTCUT

Yes,If You Want to CREATE the shortcut of TURN OFF,LOG OFF,HiBERNATE,RESTART... at Desktop, Quick Launch, or AnyWhere...

Just Follow the Steps,

►Right-Click On Your Desktop and Goto:
New-->Shortcut

►For SHUTDOWN Write:Shutdown -s -t 0
For Restart Write:Shutdown -r -t 0

Yes You can Rename The Recycle Bin
Just Follow the Procedure...

►Goto:
Start-->Run-->regedit
Press Enter

►Goto:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT folder --> CLSID folder --> {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}-->ShellFolder

►Change the "Attributes" data value from "40 01 00 20" to "50 01 00 20".Change the "CallForAttributes" dword value to "0x00000000" (double-click and change value data to 0).

►You must change both of these values to get the rename to appear.

►After performing the above steps you will be able to rename the icon like any other icon. Right-click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop and click Rename and rename it to whatever you wish.
